From the recording Might as Well Get Drunk

In the late 70's and early 80's I performed a lot of shows with Billy Ledbetter at Sam's Town in Las Vegas. We also wrote about a dozen, mostly country, tunes.

Our good friend and the very talented Gary L'Master did one hell of a job on "Might As Well Get Drunk".

Years later, I decided to revisit this song with a different kind of treatment ...if you're so inclined, check it out on my "Sing-a-Very Long Song" cd...

Lyrics

Tried to catch the freight train
But the train don't run no more
Tried to catch the Greyhound
But it died
Airport was all fogged in
My ocean liner sunk
Can't get out of here
Might as well get drunk...
